NORTH GEELONG PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
We believe we are called to live out the Great Commandments as we go about the Great Commission - making disciples who make disciples.
You can find us at 10-12 Tarkin Court, Bell Park. For locals, it's just off Thompson Road and only a minute from the Melbourne Road. There is plenty of on-site parking and you can just Google us for directions.
At the moment we are meeting online due to government regulations limiting the size of public meetings. We anticipate that from late July we may be able to meet together with a maximum of 50 people. Details will follow on how we will manage this in the weeks ahead.
Committed to teaching, serving and leading the people of God.
Darren Middleton is the minister at North Geelong Presbyterian Church. He is happily married to Ruth, blessed with seven children, a Triumph motorbike and a lazy bulldog that bears a striking resemblance (to him).
Darren was converted at the age of 23 from a non-christian home when reading the Bible for the first time. After Bible College, he has served as a Presbyterian minister for the last 20+ years in Vic and NSW, with the last 11 years as the pastor of NGPC.
He is also an unrepentant Collingwood supporter.
Bert Stasse grew up in a Christian household, was involved in church life from an early age and has served in various capacities within the church.
Bert was ordained and inducted as an elder of the Presbyterian Church at Seaford in 1980 and joined the North Shore eldership in 1994. North Shore is now part of the North Geelong Presbyterian Charge and he has served as Session Clerk here since approx 2005.
He and his wife Josie now live in Bannockburn and worship with our Bannockburn congregation.
Tim was born in NZ and raised in a Christian family. He attended church until his late teens. He then went his own way and chased after the things of this world. He moved to Australia in 2008.
In 2010/11 he started attending NGPC and began to consider the cost and to follow Jesus. He is Married to Kelly, has 3 young daughters and works building houses during the week.
Matt is Geelong born and bred. He is a high-school English and History teacher. He is keen to help people see and know that God is Good and sovereign in all things and he is even aware of God’s sovereignty when the sport results don’t fall his way. Matt and his wife Nat live locally and they have two young boys who are always up for a spot of wrestling or backyard footy.
Daniel is taking a break from the eldership. Despite his unassuming boyish looks, having only one of his 3 kids still at home proves he's considerably older than he claims. Daniel is well known for his refusal to bend to the wind of fashion and is well regarded for his sensible, uncomplicated dress and disposition.
Amanda has courageously smiled for over 30 years of marriage, and faithfully supported Daniel as they moved across state borders working in the computer industry and the Presbyterian church.
Daniel likes computers, grammar, and coffee.
